Situated at the foothills of the dramatic Serra de Tramuntana mountain range sits the charming boutique hotel, Sa Bisbal.
Sa Bisbal was original built in the 17th Century and over the years was home to many noble families in the region, it has in recent years been lovingly restored and transformed into a small rural hotel with just 6 individually furnished rooms and suites. The hotel still retains some interesting architectural elements such as the ‘portal fora’, the stone stairs and the ‘cub de vi’ where the grapes were fermented for the production of wine, all adding to its ambience.
Each comfortable room has an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, heating, cable TV, complimentary wifi access and more importantly, splendid views of the surrounding countryside and Tramuntana mountains.
There is a lovely lounge area with an honesty bar, a pretty garden and swimming pool to relax and soak up the rays, and for the more adventurous, this region is ideal for keen walkers and cyclists, and only a short drive to the pristine beaches of the North of the island or the beautiful capital, Palma de Mallorca.
Newly opened in summer 2013 is the nearby restaurant, Es Portal de Tramuntana, owned and run by the charming owners of Sa Bisbal, although the hotel does not serve evening meals, the new restaurants is just moments away and specialises in Spanish cuisine and a selection of delicious local wines. Sa Bisbal is also within strolling distance to a handful of local bars and 2 other fabulous restaurants serving delicious freshly cooked Mallorcan dishes (advanced bookings recommended).
Please note that Sa Bisbal is an adult only hotel.
***Please note that there is a tourist tax if €2.2 per person per night payable direct to the hotel***
Sa Bisbal has a pretty garden and pool area with sunbeds. There is a self-service mini-br in the lounge with a selection of hot and cold drinks.
