The Kekik Hotel, named after the locally grown thyme, is ideal for guests looking for a quiet getaway in beautiful rural surroundings, yet close enough to the picturesque village of Selimiye to be able to get out and explore the unspoilt beaches and also the other pretty nearby villages on the peninsula.
Discerning Collection offer four Cozy rooms, four Lazy rooms, two Eazy rooms and two Roomy rooms. All these delightful rooms are simply furnished, are en-suite and are decorated in neutral colours. With stone floors and floor to ceiling windows, all rooms open out to either a terrace or balcony with spectacular views out to sea and over Selimiye and beyond.
The charming new managers, Gulcen and Damla, are always on hand to look after guests. Their enthuiasm and eargerness to genuinely make sure our guests are made welcome is like a breath of fresh air. The chef is renowned for his fabulous cooking, and prepares mouth-watering Turkish dishes daily in the restaurant, using the freshest organic local produce, much of which is grown on the hotel grounds. The hotel also boasts a stunning infinity pool on the spacious terrace, from every angle of the Kekik Hotel guests will enjoy the panoramic views which are simply breath-taking.
If you can bear to miss out on the chef’s mouth-watering dishes, there are some fabulous family run restaurants dotted along the water’s edge just down the hill in Selimiye, which you can either drive to or stroll down and treat yourself to a taxi back to the hotel.
Breakfast is served daily on the outdoor terrace and features everything from freshly baked
pastries, free-range eggs, a fine selection of local cheeses and olives, home-made jams and seasonal fruit in addition to freshly brewed tea and coffee.
Although the Kekik Hotel does accept children over the age of 12, we think this is perfect for adults looking for a peaceful break in rural surroundings.
As an incentive to all our future guests Guclen is also offering either a complimentary evening three course meal with a bottle of wine or a complimentary boat trip to explore the secluded bays of Selimiye.
Due to the rural location of this hotel, we recommend hiring a car to explore the surrounding peninsula.
The Kekik Hotel has a large terrace and swimming pool with stunning views, and a wonderful restaurant serving traditional Turkish cuisine all made using local, organic produce.
