The Golden Key in Bördübet is a true retreat, hidden away in the lush surroundings of lawns and pines and far away from the trappings of tourism, yet the rooms and suites here are some of the finest to be found on this unspoilt coastline. Walking through the grounds one is bound to be delighted by the abundance of wildlife that the Golden Kay is home to; turtles, huge carp, swans, ducks and kingfishers are commonplace and this natural setting makes for a truly blissful and relaxing holiday. Bordubet originates from ‘Birds Bed’ and it’s easy to see why given the rich variety of birds in this special place.
With its own private waterfront and river, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. During the day most guests will find themselves embarking on the ‘African Queen’ type boat which ferries them from the river out to sea and on to the private beach club with its own restaurant and sunset terrace. In the evenings supper is taken in the riverside restaurant and terrace where all the fruits and vegetables are brought from its own organic garden. And after dinner, drinks are served on the elegant terraces that encircle the bar.
For the more energetic there are water sports available, including windsurfing, paddle boarding at the beach club and if you’re new to any of these activities then there are instructors on hand to guide you through to proficiency. There’s also a tennis court and a games room with billiards and table tennis and mountain bikes to explore the surrounding countryside.
If you simply wish to unwind at the hotel then the large freshwater pool is a delightful spot to sunbathe and relax. Or try a massage in one of the hotels peaceful, private massage areas.
It’s a natural paradise and certainly far from the madding crowd, yet the comfort of its superb rooms and the delightful amenities makes this a very sought-after holiday for the more discerning guest. The relaxed and gentle atmosphere that is generated by an ever attentive management is certainly one that will make our guests want to return time and time again.
Home to a wonderful restaurant, where much of the organic produce is grown on site, there are 4 bars, a private beach and beautiful freshwater swimming pool (1.60m deep), children are welcome, there is a small children’s playground and babysitting is available upon request.

Activities: The beach is just a walk down a forest path or a short boat ride on the river. Situated in the forest, just near the river which runs through the hotel grounds, the Bordubet offers a boat service to its private beach. The beach is on the peninsula just 5 minutes away, 10 minutes by canoe or bicycle, or about 20 minutes on foot.
