La Tania Ski Resort is a pretty resort located at 1350m in the 3 Vallées ski area; the largest in the world. Located next to the larger resorts of Meribel and Courchevel which link with La Tania to make up the vast 600km of pistes in the Tarentaise Valley.
Built for the Winter Olympics in 1992, La Tania has now grown into a resort in its own right with charming wood clad chalets now in abundance located just above the town centre in a picturesque forest setting. The town centre remains car free and is well stocked with shops, bars, restaurants, a bakery, tourist office, ski school, ski hire shops and the main lift station.
Whether skier or snowboarder, beginner or advanced, the choice is endless – with 321 pistes across the area, you’ll find tree skiing, cross country skiing, huge powder bowls, beginner slopes, a network of 200 ski lifts and two of the best snowboard parks in Europe. You can of course, also head over to Courchevel where you will find a further 150kms of ski terrain to enjoy.
