With an altitude of 1250 – 3250m and over 425km of piste in the Paradiski area, it is understandable why La Plagne has become one of the most popular ski resorts in France, whether an expert or a complete novice, La Plagne’s vast terrain offers something for everyone, from gentle nursery slopes and green runs, to a range of demanding black runs and even challenging off piste descents from Bellecote mountain.
The chalets we feature are in the charming, quiet villages of Les Cloches, and Montchavin, both picturesque villages nestled amongst trees, with a handful of restaurants, shops and bars, and of course, the obligatory ski hire shop. From both villages, there is direct access to Vanoise Express, as well as various other lifts to transport you to the many pristine slopes of La Plagne.
If you fancy a change from skiing or boarding, some of our favourite winter activities in this great resort are; Husky Sledding – a really fun activity if you are holidaying as a family, Ice Climbing- Standing at a height of 22m is the man made ice climbing wall. Challenging but fun nonetheless! Snow-mobiling – a great way of seeing the mountains from a different angle during the day or at night. Olympic Bobsleigh run – an exhilarating experience of 19 bends and 1500m of thrills – although not so for everyone! Swimming pool and spa – located in Plagne Centre and includes outdoor heated swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.
