Explore Kotor, Montenegro
Emerald waters and spectacular mountain scenery
Discerning Collection are incredibly excited to introduce our new programme to Croatia and Montenegro. We have a splendid selection of properties from small, quirky hotels to some of the most luxurious accommodation available in these stunningly beautiful and diverse destinations.
Croatia is becoming an increasingly popular choice for a holiday, whether you are looking for a short city break to the fascinating walled city of Dubrovnik, or perhaps combined with further afield with a few nights in beautiful Montenegro.
Steeped in history, Dubrovnik is a beautiful 13th Century Medieval walled city which has survived attacks by the Serbs leaving it severely damaged in 1995, it has since been restored to its former glory and fortunately many of the splendid historical sites remain intact and is now fast becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.
Explore the myriad of cobbled backstreets lined with boutiques, cafes and restaurants, marvel at the many impressive sites such as the stunning Cathedral of Assumption, the Gothic Sponza Palace and remarkable Fransciscan Monastery to name but a few. One way of course to fully appreciate the beauty of Dubrovnik is via the Mount Srd cable car from which you can enjoy panoramic views over the city and the numerous surrounding islands.
There so much to see and do in this splendid city, it is no wonder that Dubrovnik has been nicknamed ‘the Pearl of the Adriatic’.
Montenegro – A fascinating land that will delight and amaze our guests with its spectacular scenery, pristine beaches and wonderfully elegant old walled towns. The upmarket hotels that we have chosen will rival any other European resort and the warmth and welcoming nature of the Montenegro people will endear you to this magical country.
The coast is extraordinary with crystal clear bays surrounded by looming mountains. Beaches adjacent to historic and ancient walled towns and new marinas where the super-rich moor their super yachts. The sheer beauty of Kotor and Budvar will surprise even the most experienced Discerning guest.
It is easy to combine a stay in Dubrovnik with Montenegro, with great roads and beautiful scenery, the transfer is a leisurely and picturesque journey of just over an hour.
